Thanks Mabel for your comment here @beckscafe. It sounds like you would have had a great relationship with your grandparents. I think all our readers might really value from your advice, <em>"Love and live every moment you can with your elders, for that is time well spent"</em>. It is indeed, and, it always surprises me how a little goes a long way!

That was great thinking. Grandmothers are so fundamental in our dna that we may not realize that for many years after they pass. Mine passed when I was so young I just remember what they looked like but never knew them. My mom has said I am just like her dad, never knew him either. But pictures tell me that we were close at least in looks. When we get older and have a photo and a mirror around, thats when. Love and live every moment you can with your elders, for that is time well spent. Someday I shall meet up with mine again.

Thanks for stopping by with your comment RH! It is a challenge to be a caregiver I'll admit, but, it does lend itself for some smiles along with the groans!

So my question to you is why isn't your mom helping? Oh I know she is partying like 1999 and doesn't appreciate what you are doing. I personally know what you are doing and for everyone out there it it is way too much that her personal life is very slim like a sliver of cheesecake. Too bad the mother's head is in the sand like an ostrich. We should never treat the people we love like this mother has done!
