Urgent: Please email/call your legislators today for Trans Equal Rights Bill

Today, January 27th, is Transgender Action Day here in Massachusetts.   Our Transgender Rights Bill is being re-introduced into the Massachusetts Legislature and, as part of that, MTPC is leading some social and political action to support it.

We all need to help!

So here’s what’s going on, you may either be at the Massachusetts State House in person or you may call or email your Representative and Senator.

If you choose to go and join MTPC at the State House here is what you do:

• Transgender Equal Rights Action Day! Still On
• Thursday, January 27th
• With a 1 hour delay – start time of 12 noon now
• Meet MTPC At the Massachusetts State House – Check in at Room 167 from 12 noon – 2pm

If you choose to call/email your Representative and Senator here’s what you do:

• Find your legislator by going to http://www.malegislature.gov/People/FindMyLegislator

I am writing to you because I want you to co-sponsor “An Act Relative to Transgender Equal Rights” which has been filed in the House by lead sponsors Representatives Carl Sciortino and Byron Rushing. This bill is important to me because I believe all residents, including transgender people, should be treated fairly and equally by the laws of our state. All hardworking people in our state, including transgender people, should have the chance to make a living and provide for themselves and their families without the fear of discrimination.
